To The Honorable Richard A. Brown ,
District Attorney, Queens County

'She Is My Little Angel. I Will Miss Her Forever.' These were the words of Queens County woman who came home on April 5 to find her estranged ex-boyfriend, George Moran, passed out and her 8-year-old Pomeranian, Ninita, dead nearby.
Moran, 22, had evidently abused the 11-pound dog in March 2005, when he allegedly broke her front left leg and poisoned her. When the woman suggested that she might notify authorities, Moran fled the state.
Apparently, Ninita was resting in a cage on April 5, still mending her surgically repaired limb, when Moran entered the apartment and beat her to death. A necropsy of the battered dog’s remains found that she had suffered trauma to her liver and brain.
Moran’s alleged history of torturing this tiny defenseless animal has him facing charges (docket #2006QN019534) and four years behind bars, if he is convicted. The defendant’s prosecutor needs to hear from you—today—that Moran, if he is convicted, has more than earned that penalty and others.
As this is a horrible act to a living creature I'd like to remind you that the safety of his constituents and their animals is at stake when any cruelty-to-animals case is forwarded to your office and that—if Moran is convicted of these charges—you work with the court to ensure stringent penalties for Moran, including the following:
Incarceration for the four years that he would thus face behind bars A lifetime ban on his ownership of animals, as is allowed by state law
A mandatory, thorough psychiatric evaluation and counseling or anger management classes at Moran’s own expense
Please, I hope you will take my urge into consideration,
Unseen they suffer, unheard they cry, in agony they linger, in loneliness they die.
